Founded in 1878, CTC is the UK’s oldest and largest cycling organisation.
CTC Charitable Trust brings together the largest, most dynamic, most diverse and most passionate group of cyclists in the UK as an independent organisation working for and representing cycling and cyclists. CTC promotes cycling for fair, inclusive and sustainable access to health, mobility, transport and leisure.
CTC is a membership organisation and a charitable trust united in providing leadership in cycling. There is a UK-wide membership of 70,000 people, 400 local cycling groups, and partnerships with over 100 local authorities and 4,000 registered volunteers which gives them a unique expertise in this approach. CTC has a dedicated team of campaigners supported by the Right to Ride network, which is the largest group of dedicated voluntary cycle campaigners in the UK.They lobby locally, regionally and nationally for better rights and conditions for cyclists.
CTC Charitable Trust is currently a main partner in the IEE funded Cyclelogistics project and has participated in the following EU-funded projects: OBIS, LifeCycle and EuroVelo.
