The European Mobility week has been officially launched, putting cycling in the heart of the debate
Organized in collaboration with Eurocities and the Greens/EFA, ECF (European Cyclists’ Federation) launched the European mobility Week with its CYFO event #Cycling2jobs this morning.
The official launch has been made by Ms. Violeta Bulc (European Commissioner Responsible for Mobility and Transport), Mr. Francois Bausch (Luxembourg’s Minister for Sustainable Development and Infrastructure), Mr. Michael Cramer (Greens/EFA MEP, Chair of the Committee on Transport and Tourism in the European Parliament) and Mr. Pascal Smet (Minister of the Government of the Brussels-Capital Region Responsible for Mobility).
After a unique bike tour along the EU institutions, several workshops have been held including the production of a concrete implementation plan of the Bike2Work campaign.
While cycling in Belgian weather, officials have proven their commitment to put cycling at the same level as any other transport mode in mobility issues.
